note to self: don't be so preachy... but sometimes it is necessary

i have something to say: i think that a lot of people take sex very lightly. meaning, people are having sex with a lot of different people and not caring about anything. after reading a diary purex i realized that the ones who are so promiscuous *sp?* are teenagers. now, i am only 21 but in high school i was not sleeping with every guy in the school. in fact, i went out with a guy for a year in high school and we didn't "do it", we messed around, but that was it. why, all of a sudden are people talking about having sex like its a new handshake? like everyone they date, they have to have sex with, like they owe it to the other person? i just don't get it. this fact that more and more kids are having sex makes me not want to have kids. now, i wouldn't mind having a baby but babies grow up into horrible parent hating sex fiends and i just don't think i could take it. that is why i am happy with my dogs. my male, gator, will always let me talk baby talk to him. he will never be embarassed. he does like to hump, but since i know where he is at all times, and he doesn't go out to ybor city on saturday night and lie to me about it, that's fine with me. plus, he trys humping stuffed animals and my chiwauwa, so i am not really worried about it. but you get my point. am i just some 21 year old prude who thinks that i am the only one on this earth with any morals? i DO have sex with my fiance' but it is mutual love and we are monogamous. i don't think there is anything wrong with that, what is wrong, is having sex with multiple people with no intent of being with them for more than just sex. has anyone heard of herpes, or aids, or other diseases... that is just nasty.
