note to self: get the recipe for those meatballs

i don't believe it... i was invited to a work related function. ususally, i am the one to stay and answer the phones while everyone else goes. well, today i get to go to a silent auction with food and prizes. and now that i have been invited, i don't want to go. see, i don't like to mingle. and there are going to be a lot of people from my old job at CB there. which means i have to act all happy to see them and then they ask me what i've been doing for the last year and then i have to tell them blah, blah, blah. and this will happen over and over again. plus, it is an hour away and i have to leave here at 2:30 so i'll get there at 3:30 and i need to be home by 5:30 so i'll need to leave there at 4:30. is this all worth it to stay there for 1 hour? i don't think so. plus, it is in a part of town with a lot of traffic so it will probably take me 2 hours to get home. ughhh... i am dreading this already. but i guess if theres free food, i can struggle through it. i hope they have meatballs. if not, i am leaving immediately.
