note to self: dave's new cd "some devil" is out tomorrow!!!

so i cooked spaghetti and salad for my parents this saturday. (see my previous entry). it wasn't at all awkard, like it normally is. which really surprised me. my fiance' is not real family oriented b/c he doesn't have a family, except me. so he's not real big on 'lets sit down with my whole family and talk about our day and act like we are leave it to beaver'. so obviously he was dreading this dinner, but it was nice. after dinner we watched "anger management" which i bought on dvd b/c i love adam sandler, but as i watched it for the first time w/ my parents, it sucked. it was the first adam sandler movie that i was horendously disappointed in. oh well, it seems like my fiance' (from this point on known as 'R', b/c i am tired of typing out "my fiance") and i buy dvds just to fill up our dvd collection. we don't even watch them more than once. but we've got a ton of them... just sitting there.

anyway, R has been working about 80 hours a week so i was thrilled to have the whole day with him yesterday. so we went shopping. he always buys shoes with out trying them on and i always tell him to try them on first, but he doesn't listen to me. he says: men don't try on shoes, men don't try on clothes, men don't use umbrellas, men don't.... blah, blah, blah. so when we get home he trys on his shoes and he doesn't like them- they "make his foot look too long". whatever (hey- i thought that was a good thing?!?) anyway, so now i have to take them back to the store for him. but this means= i get an excuse to go back to the mall. see, i used to work in the mall and i loved it. i love the atmosphere, i love looking at all the different people and making fun of some people (hey- we all do it). so i like going to the mall, even if all i buy is some candy. i especially love going by myself. but i have been known to have 'sticky fingers' when i am by myself. i have the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other shoulder when i am in the dressing room. so i am really trying to fight the urge. it has been almost a month since i 'borrowed something w/ no intent of bringing it back'. do you think bad of me? it is really hard to quit cold turkey... but i am trying. anyway, i guess since i am at work, i better pretend like i am working. i swear, all i do here is when i hear someone coming around the corner, i start shuffling papers around and look confused like i am hard at work. it seems to be fooling my boss ;)

p.s.- peeps now make halloween peeps, not just easter peeps - SCORE!
